Candace Marie Dellinger, L.Ac., M.Ac., Dipl. OM (NCCAOM)

  • Received Master’s in Acupuncture from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts (Asheville, NC)

  • Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of North Carolina (NC License # LAC-2269)

  • Nationally recognized as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)

Candace was raised in a small town in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with her four siblings where she spent most of her time outdoors exploring and observing the landscape. Her sense of curiosity and relationship with the native plants encouraged her to understand their role in the potential for healing. Along with plant medicine, Candace developed a self-interest working with stones and minerals through personal study and meditation. By familiarizing with the different stones, Candace became aware of the sensitive and subtle nature of “Qi” as it is called in Chinese Medicine. To further understand the complex nature of Qi, she began practicing Qi Gong both individually and in classes with a local acupuncturist in 2018.  In her first year of college, Candace attended Colorado State University studying Health and Exercise Science. The following year she transferred to Fort Lewis College in her hometown where she finished the courses and accumulated the credits needed to follow her passion. In 2020, Candace attended Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts to pursue her dream for a career in Chinese and Herbal medicine. Candace continued her studies in Qi Gong with Acupuncturist and Qi Gong practitioner Frank Iborra where she learned the internal art of Nei Gong, involving the practice of working with the Qi mechanism of the inner landscape of the body.

During her free time, Candace loves to care for her chickens, geese, and ducks that she raises with her partner Nathan. She enjoys different forms of creative expression through painting, dancing, baking, or crafting medicinals from nature. Candace finds peace anytime she is immersed in the outdoors or simply being in the company of her animals. Her passion and dedication to healing shows through her innate sense of empathy and attentive presence. Candace’s own sensitivity to acupuncture allows her to provide a gentle and grounding care in each of her treatments, appealing to all ages and anyone who may be new to acupuncture or apprehensive of needles. Her hope with each treatment is to educate and involve her patients in achieving their optimal state of health while continuing to prevent disease, alleviate pain, and provide a sense of self-empowerment. Chinese Medicine works by balancing the energetic body to enhance vitality of the immune system and maintain connection with the cyclical nature of life that governs health and homeostasis. Candace believes the ancient art of Chinese Medicine can have the power to reconnect individuals to their personal path of a sustainable and mindful life, bringing remembrance and confident reliance on the body’s intrinsic healing abilities.
